We own and have used every single resource that Lithos Kids has put out, from Little Pilgrim's Big Journey series to the Kingdom of God Storybook series. Everything this company creates is literally GOLD. We have done a ton of devotionals and Bible studies as a family, and without a doubt, Lithos Kids is the best. I recommend every single product they sell! Though these are made from elementary-aged students, don't be surprised when you are consistently crying and praising the Lord while you read aloud! Use code "JADADANNIELLE" to save on every single purchase, and don't forget that "dannielle" has two "n's"!
The Organic Studies is an A-Z nature study curriculum that, because of the depth of information, you can use year after year. You can also pair it with The Word Studies, which allows you to get revelation from nature that points you back to the Word of God. For example, A is for Amphibians. For one of the Amphibians lessons, you learn about how amphibians must keep their skin moist in order that it remains soft. Then in that same lesson in The Word Studies, you learn about how we as believers must make sure our hearts remain soft as we are molded more and more into the image of Christ. I just love that science is paired directly with the Bible in such a harmonious way. This curriculum also focuses mostly on beautiful picture books, bright and color research books and hands-on activities, which my children thrive with. Use code "JADAHITE" in all caps for 15% off every single order!
I looked for quite some time for a nutrition curriculum that I could actually stand by, and I can honestly say this it it. There is no doubt in my mind that we will use this over and over for years to come. This curriculum teaches the importance of sourcing your food locally. It teaches how to read an ingredients label, how to navigate a farmer's market, how to choose gut healing foods, and more. The cherry on top is that it teaches from a Biblical worldview, focusing on stewarding our bodies as unto the Lord. Not to mention, the curriculum is fun, bright, and full of hands-on activities! The entire family can gather around and do this one. Use the discount code "JADA15" to save 15% on every purchase! They even have coloring books!
We worked through these two curricula (Part 1 & Part 2) over the course of two years, and my oldest daughter got so upset when we finished! Beautiful Feet Books is known for their gorgeous literature-based resources and their heavy lean towards Charlotte Mason. For Part 1 of Around the World in Picture Books, you go through Asia, Africa, Australia and Antarctica using picture books, hands-on activities and notebooking. For Part 2, you go through Europe and South America with a heavy focus on the arts! Even my 4 year old jumped in on a ton of lessons, because the book choices are so delightful! This was such a beautiful introduction to World Geography, with a ton of World History in it as well! Highly, highly recommend for 1st-3rd graders!
The Lily & Thistle Watercolor School is an online membership designed to walk you through the basics of watercoloring and then mature you into a confident artist. You can enroll in a monthly membership or lifetime access, whatever works best for the season of life you're in. Once you're on the inside of the Watercolor School, you are going to squeal with delight! Everything from landcapes to flowers to birds to holiday paintings can be found here. You will first take some basics courses and then you're off to learn how to paint basically anything with the guidance of an online tutorial every time. My children adore this curriculum and so do I. This is a super simple, Charlotte Mason-inspired way to teach spelling. Full of bright and colorful pictures and a quick two-page spread for every lesson, this curriculum is something the child can do independently in a very short window of time.
Grammarland is a chapter book written in the 1800's that my 2nd grade student ADORED. It teaches the parts of speech in a silly narrative and provides fun activities at the end of each chapter. My daughter begs for another chapter every time! How's that for a grammar lesson?
